How it started..
Back in 2006 and before internet dating was cool, two newly single parents connected and the rest is history!
The two single parents are my Mom and my stepdad. They started a very successful, Award Winning irrigation company in Atlanta in 2009. After years of working on irrigation by necessity, he had developed a reputation as "go to" irrigation problem solver.
Not long after starting the business they were awarded the Kia Motors Manufacturing of Georgia reclaimed water irrigation design and installation.
Carla Poe, Chief Operations Officer
When my Mom was running the business during Gregg's chemo, she had a blog known as "The Irrigation Girl,"developed an irrigation app, was the first woman on the Rainbird Contractor Advisory Council and lobbied Capitol Hill for lung cancer funding. And, Mom had her favorite project .... The Girl Scouts of Greater Atlanta. She is credited with the design and installation of the LEED irrigation system.
How it's going..
I had forgotten how much I loved irrigation until recently while working for someone else. Over the years I've sent Mom pictures of crazy irrigation things I've seen having grown up in the business. I was raised primarily in Fayetteville, Waleska and Ellijay, Georgia and I'm a 2017 graduate of Gilmer County High School in Ellijay. I also attended Chattahoochee Technical College (Jasper GA).
"Imitated but never duplicated"
After Mom moved to Jax Beach in 2017, I decided to join her in 2019. It had always been my dream to do something that would make Gregg proud and I will do things his way, with honesty, integrity and a few laughs along the way.
Now the boring stuff....
